Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FØRÄVÌ, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and FØRÄVÌ Inc. (incorporation in progress, Canada), referred to as "FØRÄVÌ".

2. Description of Service

FØRÄVÌ is a personal wellness application offering AI coaching sessions. The service includes:

• Text and voice coaching sessions with three distinct AI coaches (Maya, Felix, Elan)
• Daily mood and wellbeing check-ins
• Private personal journal
• Wellness resource library
• Personalized notifications and reminders

FØRÄVÌ does not constitute a medical, psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, or certified mental health service. AI coach exchanges do not constitute clinical follow-up.

3. Eligibility & Account

To use FØRÄVÌ, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk)
• Provide accurate information at registration
• Keep your login credentials confidential

You are responsible for all activity performed through your account. Report any unauthorized access immediately to support@foravi.app.

Service territory: FØRÄVÌ is currently offered in Canada only. By using the service, you confirm that you reside in Canada or are temporarily located in Canada at the time of registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FØRÄVÌ to:

• Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activities
• Bypass or probe security mechanisms
• Submit deliberately false information to manipulate AI coaches
• Harass, harm, or intimidate others
• Reverse engineer or extract source code or AI models
• Resell or redistribute access to the service
• Automate interactions in an unauthorized manner (bots, scrapers)

FØRÄVÌ reserves the right to suspend any account in violation of these rules without notice and without refund.

5. Subscription & Payments

FØRÄVÌ offers limited free access (trial sessions) and a paid monthly subscription. Payments are processed exclusively by Stripe. We do not store any payment card numbers.

• Auto-renewal: the subscription renews monthly on the anniversary date
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Access remains active until the end of the already-paid period.
• Refunds: no refunds are granted for partially used periods, except where required by law.
• Price changes: any pricing change will be communicated by email with 30 days notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All elements of FØRÄVÌ (brand, AI coaches, protocols, interface, library content) are protected by Canadian intellectual property laws.

Your content: You retain full ownership of your messages, journal entries, and personal data. You grant FØRÄVÌ a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

FØRÄVÌ may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve the service, without ever identifying an individual user.

7. Privacy & Personal Data

The processing of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, compliant with Quebec Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA. By using FØRÄVÌ, you consent to this policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FØRÄVÌ disclaims all liability for:

• Decisions made based on AI coach exchanges
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service
• Temporary service interruptions for maintenance or technical incidents
• Data loss resulting from voluntary deletion by the user

FØRÄVÌ's total liability shall in no event exceed the amount you paid during the preceding 3 months.

9. Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. All your personal data will be erased within 30 days.

By FØRÄVÌ: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, poses a security risk, or following 24 months of inactivity with 30 days notice.

10. Changes to Terms

FØRÄVÌ may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of the service after that period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Act respecting the legal framework for information technology (LCCJTI), and the Quebec Civil Code.

Any dispute arising from the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Quebec, Canada.
